First Nashville, Then …The World
So, me and a buddy headed out to the Scott Kelby Adobe seminar in Nashville TN about a month ago. This was the second one of these Adobe trainings I’ve been to and I was looking forward to it. Finding out what you don’t know is always exciting. So we get there and we’re checking things out. Lots of product, videos and things to buy and because the focus of this training was photography and editing, there were lots of camera and picture taking. Now my friend pulls out his 8 megapixel mobile phone (EVO Shift) and starts shooting pictures. I’m looking at his pictures and I’m flippin out because he has this amazing app called “Camera360″! What an amazing app! This thing has tons of effects and lighting, HDR, blurs, all kinds of goodies. So I pull out my EVO 4G and download it! It is amazing, were taking pictures everywhere it was great!
So, now for the best part. It’s the end of the conference and they’re handing out prizes packages which are mostly bundles of video with tons of training on them… dollar values are around a couple hundred bucks. But they have a grand prize… a golden ticket to PHOTOSHOP WORLD. [queue the angelic choir] A single ticket to Photoshop World is $699.00 (non-NAPP members) and it’s in Vegas baby… Vegas.
So, I stand up to hit the bathroom, throw my trash away and tell my buddy, “Hey if I win anything, go up and get it for me will ya”. I turn and start to head out the door when I hear those sweet words, “The winner of the grand prize ticket to Photoshop World 2011 in Vegas is … Frank Cottone.

UPDATE: As it turns out, I can’t make Vegas. I can’t tell you when or where, but Kelby’s people text me today and were kind enough to hook me up with Photoshop World East Coast in 2012!
